Eating with us
In our stocked wine cellar you can find and taste the best local wines such as Malvazija (dry white wine), Teran (rich red wine), Chardonnay or Merlot. Furthermore, at your request we prepare delicious traditional dishes. All our ingredients; fruit and vegetable are fresh and home-grown locally. Our bread is homemade as well as our cheese and prosciutto and we serve different dishes, depending on the season, for example, the white truffle is only found in September, October, November and December while the black truffle is available all year round. In Spring you can enjoy asparagus while in Autumn mushrooms are abundant in the local woods. In summer our vegetable garden is packed with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, beans and carrots while in Winter there are plenty of different types of radicchio, cabbage and pumpkins. Whenever you decide to take your holiday, we promise you will be delighted with our dishes whatever your tastes and wishes. The dinner table is either set al fresco in the garden or inside.
Menu 1:
Starter: Cold starter - Istrian prosciutto and sheep cheese
Warm starter – sweet corn minestrone or pumpkin soup
Main course: veal and potatoes roasted under the bell covered with cinders (pod pekom)
On the side: mixed salad, homemade bread, homemade olive oil
Pudding: fritule (typical Istrian desert, similar to baby doughnuts)
Menu 2:
Starter: Cold starter – Istrian prosciutto and sheep cheese
Warm starter – Istrian pasta (homemade fusi, ravioli or gnocchi) with beef, chicken or mushroom goulash or asparagus
Main course: veal steak with vegetables
On the side: mixed salad, homemade bread, homemade olive oil
Pudding: cheese, cherries or apple homemade cake
Menu 3:
Starter: Cold starter – Istrian prosciutto and cheese with truffles
Warm starter: scrambled eggs with truffles (black or white)
Main course: steak sprinkled with truffles with pasta and truffles sauce
On the side: mixed salad, homemade bread, homemade olive oil
Pudding: homemade pannacotta
